(BTV-2 was identified from an animal in this herd in November 1999, the first isolate of BTv-2 in the USA in >16 years. The herd contained ~1000 sheep, that were moved from New Hampshire to Florida in the Fall of 1999.  Numerous animal exhibited clinical signs of B.  At the request of NSVL bloods were collected animals showing clinical signs. multiple serotypes were isolated from this herd : BTV-2, 3, 13, 17)
